Several clients opt to split the 60-minute enrichment visit into two 30-minute sessions (must be in the Troy, Tipp or Piqua). We want your pet(s) to enjoy their time with us!

It is no secret that Kristen absolutely loves her career and what she has built. However, it is important for her to ensure that there is a trusted team of individuals who clients can rely on if there is an emergency, or if she needs to step back and recharge for a day or a weekend.

Although our pet care specialists do not run slumber pawties (with the occasional exception for Nana Pam), or live-in slumber pawties, they are always eager to assist with enrichment visits, walks, or almost slumber pawties. Each of our team members are fully trained on the software and send detailed visit recaps after each service is completed and is covered by our insurance.

While Kristen still handles the majority of daily visits, and the bulk of all of the overnights, it is important to know that she has full confidence in every member of the team.

In 2021 during her divorce while searching for reliable pet care for her own two dogs, Enzo Marley & Royal Roo, Kristen realized the local market wasn’t set up to cater to special needs pets. Add in having two bully breeds and finding that the stigma of their breeds carried over into daycare and boarding facilities it was chaotic at best. Thus, an idea was born to create a safe, loving, enriching environment that allows you to cater to your pet’s exact needs, all while in the comfort of your own home.

Since our creation the company has grown to include over 200 pets, from dogs & cats to fish and even a bearded dragon! In February 2023 Blockheads & Bows Pet Services LLC proudly became a member of the Troy, Ohio Chamber of Commerce. We are a fully insured small woman owned business.

WE ARE SO GLAD YOU ASKED! To start services with B & B we send out a detailed welcome packet outlining our story, our services with pricing and finally the terms of service. All clients are required to sign the terms of service agreement before services start.

Once you have reviewed these items the next step is to conduct a meet and greet, in your home, where you explain your pet’s needs and their daily routine. Holding this in your home allows us to observe the pet in the environment we will be in, and ensures we understand the ins and outs of their needs before Day 1.

Once our meet and greet is completed, you will receive an invitation to join our pet portal where all services are scheduled by the client, invoices are billed and paid, and our time with your pet is documented with photos, videos, and gps tracked walks. All clients must use the pet portal to receive services. This ensures that all directions for our pet care specialists are followed fully since the client is responsible for creating and maintaining an accurate pet profile. Blockheads & Bows prides itself on transparency, and the portal is another layer of that for our clients and ourselves.

If one of our pet specialists completes a visit, Kristen is still able to see all recaps from the visit, as well as any in portal messaging that occurs between the client and pet care specialist to allow for continuity of care, and transparency.

We get it- budgeting is important, so we try to be as transparent as possible when it comes to pricing. Our daily rates are listed below, with the exception of holiday rates which have an additional fee.

For solo walks our rates are:
20 minutes- $19
30 minutes- $22
45 minutes- $26
**For each additional pet please add $10 per walk.

For solo enrichment visits our rates are:

10 minute potty break- $10
20 minutes- $18
30 minutes- $20
45 minutes- $26
60 minutes- $32
**For each additional pet please add $5 per visit excluding potty break services.

Almost Overnight:
This provides your pet with three 45–60-minute visits throughout the day, a bedtime visit and enrichment activities. This service starts at $50/day and has optional add-ons.
**Please add an additional $15/day per dog receiving this service.

Slumber Pawty:
This service provides your pet with the comforts of having their best friend spend the night with them. It includes a midday visit, playtime, walks and a lot of snuggles. Pricing starts at $75/day for up to 2 dogs and has optional add-ons.
**For 3+ dogs it is an additional $20/day. Holiday pricing is available upon request.

Live-in Slumber Pawty:
Available only Friday afternoons through Monday mornings.
**Pricing is determined by your individual needs.

Cat Care:
This service includes feedings, cleaning the litter box and giving medications if necessary.
Pricing starts at $20/30 minutes.

Our daily service area is Troy, Piqua, Tipp City, and Vandalia ending at Miller Lane.

We do regularly service all of Miami County, and the Sidney area. Any service requests coming in for areas greater than 20 minutes outside of Troy will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Slumber Pawties are currently limited, on a first come first serve basis, to 14 calendar days a month. Once those 14 nights are filled our cancellation list opens up. This service is limited due to Kristen being the only one running it.

Kristen, Nana Pam, Miss Suzie and Miss Sunshine are available for almost slumber pawties meaning more clients can be helped each day than a traditional overnight allows. While we understand the thought of leaving your pet home alone at bedtime can be uncomfortable, rest assured that with our almost slumber pawty service they will be so tired when we slip out, they won’t even notice!
