Part of the Pack.
Always.

Winnie
Sweet boy Winnie had the gentlest soul. He loved his cozy beds, his scrambled egg every morning, and he was always such a little gentleman. Most of the photos I have of Winnie have his tongue sticking out trying to give smooches- he was full of them. Winnie also enjoyed a good Hallmark Christmas movie
He was everything good that dogs are, and our pack was truly better for having him in it. Winnie brought laughter, love, comfort, and joy to everyone who knew him.
Run free, sweet Winnie. You’ll always be loved.

Bubba
Bubba adored basking in the sunshine, stretched out in his yard with the warm rays on his back, reminding us all to slow down and savor the simple joys. A true King of fashion, Bubs sported a coat and bowtie with the confidence of a male model gracing the cover of Dogue (Vogue for dogs). He was a very good boy—gentle, loyal, and full of all the goodness that only dogs possess. And oh, those floppy ears… Bubs truly had the best ears.
Bubba was a big lovebug through and through. On Monday and Tuesday, he savored every McDonald’s chicken nugget I hand-fed him, gently swishing his long tail with delight. He was cuddled up on his bed under his new “feel better bestie” blanket I got for him, still as sweet and gentle as usual even when he wasn’t feeling well.
I will miss your bellowing barks, dramatic sighs complete with flopping on the floor and seeing you bask in the sunshine during your naps in the yard, Bubba. Thank you for filling our hearts with so much love, drool and sweetness. I know we will see each other again.

Nova
The world has been less sparkly without you in it Nova-Girl. You were an absolute force to be reckoned with filled with sass, humor, intelligence (I swear Nova could tell time), love and snuggles. The 16 months with you were some of the sweetest I have ever experienced and you will stay in my heart forever.
Thank you for the snuggles in the basement the night the tornadoes hit just north of us, the lazy days lounging in the sun, our adventures to walk around Lake Loramie, the Hallmark movie nights, and even the 6 am “I’m hungry feed me now even if it is an hour too early please” barks. Rest comfortably sweet girl, and I will see you again. -
Shiloh
Our fair Queen, Shiloh, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday August 13, 2024.
She is survived by her loving parents and grandparents, brother LouLou, and her most tolerated babysitter, me. Her brothers Bruno and Maverick probably heard her start to fuss at them as soon as her paws hit The Bridge
Shiloh and I spent a lot of time over 2.5 years together. She saw me through some of the worst days, and some of the very best days, and from her perch on the sunny spot on the sofa provided a loving warmth to comfort me through it all. The last week I spent with her it was my honor to do everything I could to make her comfortable. Shiloh handled the fluid therapy like she was recovering from a night in Vegas with the girls, perking up enough to eat a very small amount of her current favorite, Spam, before I had to tell her goodbye.
While I don’t know what comes after this life for me, I sure hope I’m greeted with a nudge from her nose and those velvet ears of hers brushing my fingertips to say “hello old friend, I’m glad you made it” as she scoots over to make room on the sunny spot on the sofa.
Rest well Shiloh, until we meet again Queenie.

Roman
Roman was one of the founding pups of Blockheads & Bows, starting with me less than a month after I opened my business in December 2021. Over the weekend he unexpectedly crossed the rainbow bridge after what sounds like the perfect day with his mom. Roman and I had many adventures over the years together- recovering from surgeries, gossip filled walks in the neighborhood, and most recently his favorite was the sniffari adventures we would have on new trails every time I saw him.
Roman was rarely in a hurry on any of our adventures, he would always stop to smell the leaves and flowers often finding the •best• smells in the most unsightly things. Each of your pet’s teach me something no matter how much I wish it was the other way around. I think the lesson Roman was meant to teach me was patience in finding the beauty in things- he did it so well every single day.
Roman loved splashing in the water “fishing”, a soft spot curled up on the sofa or bed and being the center of his mom’s world. Adopting an older dog is tough, but there is no doubt in my mind the last few years with his mom were the absolute best of his life because of how fiercely she loves him.
My Guy was the head of fashion for B & B because of his adorable taste in hats, wearing them for all strolls with wind or cold- he loved them. We would have staring contests and the loser had to give the winner as many treats as they wanted… I always lost I will miss the fashion, the incredible side eye judgment, the tail whip wags and Roman’s version of hugging. I have no idea what comes next for me after this life but I sure hope you are there to say “hello” to an old friend who misses you.
